"I love these and so do my child care children. I love how big the pieces are and do great in a mix age room. I love the textures of all the pieces. The only thing I don’t really care for is the wood rubs off pretty easily. Not a product you want around toddlers who put things in their mouths."
"wonderful for using touch to determine the right match"
"This is perfect for my son whose Deaf Autistic Low Vision. We are able to explore the pieces with sensory sand, search and find. Feel the texture on the top and inside the puzzle. All around amazing gift/ toy to have!"
"These are positively wonderful! I absolutely adore them! The kiddos, students, and seniors are all ecstatic with these and manipulate and play with them endlessly. They are a good size for fine motor puzzles with a matching control of error built in. Great textures add a wonderful sensorial component to the activity with perfectly selected nature inspired objects (mostly items found in a woodland/forest habitat) that allow for hours of exploration and open ended play. Though the actual items/objects themselves are made of plastic, the textures are intriguing and their colors are beautiful natural tones and hues. The real wood "cookie" shaped/sized bases with live edge bark texture truly ignite the senses and spark curiosity and bring the nature element indoors with this activity. My only issue is that it is quite an expensive item. For the price I really wished there were more matching pairs- 18-20 would be more appropriate for the price. Since this comes with only 12 it does make the item very pricey. Overall census is that we wished the flower was less "stereotypical" and more uniquely common and resembled a woodland variety, and that one of the items/objects would have been a mushroom/toadstool and perhaps another an acorn, or even also a samara- the little helicopter seed of the maple tree! (There's nothing like stories of the old oak tree in the forest.) Then again, perhaps guidecraft could make an extension set with natural representations of a mushroom/toadstool, an acorn, a samara, a fern, a berry branch of some sort, a snakeskin, a cocoon, a hummingbird nest, a raccoon footprint in the mud, and though we don't have them in the states, even a spiky little hedgehog would be an excellent sensorial representation from nature! (These are actual recommendations/suggestions from kiddos, adults, and seniors who play with the activity endlessly.) The kiddos and students are already ecstatic with this activity and would be thrilled to have their recommendations considered and added! Yes, please!"
